Nanotechnology And Its Evergreen Importance

Everything in our livable planet is made of atoms and molecules. This is the basic understanding of the very existence. But the actual understanding is that these atoms and molecules are broken down to more simpler and tinier particles and the study of these microparticles is known as nanotechnology. This is not a concept of the present era but was there even in the earlier days but its applications and importance were unknown.

Now, this nanoscience and nanotechnology are finding great value and worth in every walk of life and is being used in our general science, engineering, simple material concepts etc...  Every single thing in existence is made of millions and millions of nanoparticles, the study, and analysis of which is impossible with naked eyes. In fact, though we had the microscopes for this purpose, they were not designed to read the atoms at the nanoscale levels. Such powerful microscopes were introduced only recently when the importance and significance of nanotechnology came to the forefront.

Importance of nanotechnology

There might be a doubt in many as to why we should use nanotechnology for studying the microscopic dimensions of each and everything we use. The very fact and need for nano study are that when we get to know everything from its very basic level, we get to know about its enhanced strengths which might bring to light many useful and effective uses of the same in diversified fields giving more effective and efficient results. Probably it was this invention and introduction that helped in finding even medicines of some of the so-called incurable diseases and health problems and hence we need to discuss nano technology and steroids. This technology has come out with some extraordinary attributes like enhanced power, light weight, improved efficiency, greater reactivity all of which the larger or bigger atom particles cannot reveal. 

Nanotechnology in medicine

Medicine is one field that needs constant research and findings to cope with the increasing number of diseases and health problems. We say that technology has given us many comforts and has eased life in many ways. But it is not just the merits that we are enjoying every day but also few hidden demerits that are kept blinkered from us. With every new comfort, we are actually making our lives difficult spoiling the very important health.

Here is where we need to understand the importance of research in the medical field to find solutions for all our modern day problems. Nanotechnology has helped a lot in this field. When comes to health and well-being of a human being, it becomes essential to read and understand everything in-depth from the microscopic sense to find the correct reason and a solution for it and this is now made possible with nanotechnology.

All of us are aware of the fact that steroids are generally advised to a patient who has an extremely advanced problem and these are to be strictly used and consumed only under proper supervision and prescription of a physician. Now the major question is what has nanotechnology to do with these steroids. This technology has helped find solutions for many mortal problems. Let`s take an example here to understand and explain the role of this nanotechnology in the field of development and effectiveness of steroids.

Nanotechnology is basically the study of nanoparticles and this has helped researchers in understanding the potential treatments for eye and retina related problems. For problems that have crossed the bearable limits, steroids are advised and prescribed to patients. With age, the eyesight becomes a little dull and the retina tends to lose its efficiency and sharpness. This nanotechnology has come out with a solution for this in liaison with the steroid treatment and it is called dendrimers. This has been found as one of the best ways of treating age-related eye and retina problems and their applications have been found to be really working. People who have been treated with this for problems have been found to be recovering fast and effectively.

Initially, in treating such problems, there were hiccups in administering medicines for since eyes are very sensitive parts of the body and had to be done with care and caution. But with nanotechnology in place, the steroids were put under proper and thorough study and it was found that they were able to treat the problem without affecting the other parts. It was targeted incorrectly hitting the neuroinflammation without causing a damage to the rest of the eyes. This was possible only because of nanotechnology which helped in studying and understanding the role and effectiveness of steroids in treating this problem.

This type of treating the neuro-inflammations in eyes was essential because as people age, this became a serious problem and was found to be the primary cause of vision loss.  Thanks to nanotechnology for it helped in understanding the efficacy of steroids rightly at the right time and most of the population that suffers from this trouble are getting cured this way.

This treatment of steroids was tested with rats that were diagnosed with retina and neuroinflammation problems. It was found that these medications stayed in the eyes for at least a month until all the infections and affected cells were cured without causing harm to the other parts of the eyes. This is just an example quoted here to highlight the effect and efficiency of nanotechnology in the medical field. Similar are its functions and performance in every field and it is a great boon to the mankind wherein our researchers have come out with many new and very useful findings which were so far kept hidden from us.

Again this is a by-product of the developing technology and it is because of this that we are getting to know more about natural science. Technology is both detrimental and beneficial and it is the human race that has to understand these differentiations correctly to obtain the maximum from it. It is believed that this nanotechnology will bring in more good and would be more effective in the future for the coming generations.
